Kindle is available in India for same price for 12000 INR (@47 for 1 $ for 259$) as US customers. Apart from this, Indian customer has to pay standard international courier charges PLUS customs duties, import taxes and other fees levied by the India. As per the Amazon site, import duties would be 98$ and courier charges would be 20$. It means that Kindle would cost 398$ in India at your home. So what you are waiting for ? Btw, Amazon is delivering only the basic version of Kindle, which is having 6″ LCD black and white screen.
